DESTINY’S SONG is unique in that it is a true-to-life song that celebrates the life of (then 11 year old) Destiny Dawn Dyer, a child living in Franklin, Kentucky who suffers from a rare bone disease. This is just one of over 10,000 personalized, one-of-a-kind songs the SONGS OF LOVE FOUNDATION has provided to seriously ill children in over 350 hospitals nationwide, free of charge. Since its inception ten years ago, more than 500 songwriters and singers have contributed their talents. The list of participating artists keeps growing. DESTINY’S SONG was written by country notables: Tammy Cochran, Deborah Allen & Anita Cochran along with Carl Allocco, a longtime member of the SONGS OF LOVE team of regular staff writers, and was recorded by Tammy, Anita & Deborah as a gift to the foundation. The proceeds of this song as well as a portion of the sales of the SONGS OF LOVE/Madacy Entertainment CD “Medicine of Music™ Country Compilation – Volume 1”, which includes DESTINY’S SONG, and featuring tracks by George Strait, Kenny Rogers, Charlie Daniels, Joe Nichols, Vince Gill, LeAnn Rimes, Buddy Jewell, Trace Adkins, Lee Ann Womack and more, will go to the non-profit SONGS OF LOVE FOUNDATION – www.songsoflove.org.
